Catholics appeared in Kainsk as exiles after uprisings and deportations. There were also voluntary immigrants.
1906 The ancestors of the first Catholics built the church with their own hands under the guidance of the priest Anton Suley. It was built of brick, was more than 12 meters high, with bells. At first the Kaina church was a branch church, priests came from Vengerovo.


1908/09 The temple was built and consecrated by the priest Demikis of Taia. Its patrons were St. Peter and St. Paul. St. Anthony, the Name of Jesus and the Beheading of John the Baptist were also venerated.

1910 The first permanent pastor appeared, the temple becomes a parish church.
1912 The parish numbered 2800 souls. The church had a library, Sunday school and 2 educational institutions: the city 4-class school and Kaina women's gymnasium.

1917 The revolution and civil war did not particularly affect the course of church life at first. It was only in the 20s that persecution of the parishioners began. Until the 1930s the church was still in operation.

1932 The Presidium of the Cain City Council closed the church and prohibited the service.
1933 The closed church is transferred with its inventory to the City Council and becomes a derelict building.
1934 Change of the decision to liquidate the Roman Catholic Church in Kainsk. Priest Cerpento continues to conduct the service.

1937 Repressions began against the believers, many, including the local priest, were shot, and the church was finally closed.
1939 The building of the Polish church is used as a sports hall of the Spartak sports society.
1941 They put a military warehouse in the church. Everything inside was thrown away. The boys collected pipes from a broken organ.

The resettlement of Germans from the Volga region on Stalin's orders. Many of them were deeply religious Catholics.
1954 Opening of a clothing factory. Remodeling of the temple for the needs of the factory and the destruction of the tower. A sewing factory is still operating in the building of the former temple.

1985-87 Priest Fr. Joseph Svidnitsky sits in Kuibyshev prison for conducting religious activities
1991 Germans and Poles gather in apartments and hold prayer meetings. Various priests come from Novosibirsk.

1999 A new church was built on the bank of the Omka River within 4 days with the help of donations from Germany.

1999 State registration of the parish of St. Peter and Paul the Apostles.
2002 Resident priest Fr. Dietmar Seiffert begins his work.
2004-2018 2 sisters of the Congregatio Jesu order from Slovakia serve in the parish
2008 The centenary of the consecration of the temple

2009 10-year anniversary of the new temple
2010 Consecration of the new parish center in honor of St. Righteous Joseph

2022-23 2 sisters from the Order of St. Elizabeth serve in the parish
At the moment, we have about 300 parishioners from different localities joining our parish.
