Advent, Day 15 - The third Sunday of Advent is Gaudete, which literally means "rejoice". Rejoice that the Savior is about to be born. Rejoice in the opportunity to participate in this great mystery. Rejoice in God. Rejoice in the world. Rejoice in those around you. Always and now. Especially now.
On December 14 and 15 at the Church of St. Peter and Paul, the days of spiritual renewal with Fr. Krzysztof were dedicated to the theme "Finding God in our everyday life".
The Lord searches the heart, with hope looking for the good that is in man and finds Mary, the one who played an undoubtedly important role in the salvation of mankind. The Blessed Virgin became a mother to all, to all mankind. This is the great mystery of Mary, who brought God, true God and true Man into the world in her son Jesus. The Lord reveals his love in Mary, but also in our everyday life, without using flashy and extraordinary ways...and in this everyday life we can open ourselves to his call, quietly, lovingly, fulfilling our duties as Mary did.
О. Krzysztof also spoke about the joy that we as Christians should not lose, because our Lord is loving and merciful, let us especially ask Him for the gifts of the Holy Spirit, pray for the gift of love for God, love and give ourselves to our neighbors unselfishly. Let us try to do small deeds with great love.
We thank Fr. Krzysztof for accompanying us during these days, for preaching about the importance of joy in the life of a Catholic, which Christmas brings to us!
