The meeting of the children in our parish was held on January 4 under the leadership of Sisters Yozuela and Amalia, who regularly come to Kuibyshev to once again spiritually attune the children and give them spiritual nourishment.
The theme of the meeting was the Feast of the Solemnity of the Epiphany. The children discussed who the Three Magi were, what their names were and what gifts they brought to the baby Jesus. The sisters also talked about the inscription K+M+B on the door and explained what it means.
Then each child made a star of Bethlehem. After the fruitful work the children went for a walk, breathed fresh air and went for a ride on cotton buns!
After returning the little pupils watched a movie about the Fourth Magus, it is certainly an invented story, but instructive and very beautiful. The children enjoyed it very much!
The meeting concluded with Holy Mass celebrated by Father Dietmar, rector of our parish.
His sermon was devoted to the importance of prayer, how to pray in order to truly experience the meeting with the Lord. The children actively answered the priest's questions, prayed and sang Christmas songs. Concluding the service Father Dietmar blessed all the brothers and sisters present for the New Year!
We thank the sisters for their dedication to our congregation.
Thank God for this beautiful day, for our wonderful children who love the Lord, and are learning to model their gifts to Jesus and their family and friends after the Magi.
