During Lent, the prayers of the Way of the Cross are recited in the Catholic Church. It is made up of 14 stances that have evolved throughout history. Some of them are reflected in the Bible, others in Church tradition. Through this form of prayer, the faithful prepare for the celebration of Easter. Reflecting on the last stages of Jesus' life strengthens our faith and devotion to the Lord. In our parish, a different group of people pray the Way of the Cross each Sunday before Mass. On the first Sunday of Lent the men prayed, on the second Sunday the women prayed. On the third Sunday, the Way of the Cross is organized by the children.
