Harvest Festival and Living Rosary Encounter

On Sunday, October 6, we thanked God for the gifts of the earth during the church service. The women of our parish prepared a beautiful altar with the offerings of the harvest. These gifts were blessed at the beginning of the service.

After the service we had our annual meeting of the "living rose garden" groups. We have 2 so-called "Rosaries." These are groups of 20 people who pray one tenth of the Holy Rosary each, so the entire psalter is prayed daily. Every year on October 7, the Feast of Mary Queen of the Holy Rosary, we have our annual meeting. This year our parish priest, Fr. Dietmar, told us about a Eucharistic miracle in Lanziano/Italy. In the 8th century, during Mass, the bread was transformed into the body of Christ and the wine into blood. These gifts are still honored to this day. More recently, scientific research has confirmed this miracle.

At the end, each participant recited his or her rosary mystery and we prayed the Ode Ten of the Holy Rosary together.
