The theme of the Lenten recollections this time was "Forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors.
By tradition, at this time a priest from another parish comes to our parish. This time in our church the preacher was Fr. Janez Sever, a Jesuit priest from Novosibirsk, who has previously conducted recollections in our parish.
The main theme of our meetings was forgiveness, which we addressed through the main prayer of the church, "Our Father". Throughout the conferences Fr. Janez gave us new insights and instructions, sharing his experience of faith, how to deal with unforgiveness, urging us to ask the Lord to fulfill his will in everything, not our expectations. When we forgive, we take our example from Jesus Christ, imitating him. It can be difficult, but if we do it with faith asking God to free us from anger, negativity towards other people, circumstances, we find peace, joy, which only God gives. And this is a process that happens gradually. Only in this way we will be able to build the Kingdom of Heaven already here, the Kingdom that the Lord will prepare for every truly believing person.
